Graduate from college....check!!

This one time I graduated.  It was lovely.  My whole family was so sweet to make the trek to Logan to sit through some really boring speeches and watch me grab a piece of paper from a guy who looks like he belongs in Hogwarts.  Look at how cute they all are:

I sure do love my cute fam.

Here are some Sociology classmates.  I've had a lot of classes with these ladies.  They're all darling in their own right.  Andrea, myself, Rebekah and Barabara.
I snatched up my diploma.  It's official!....in 8 weeks...when my diploma is actually sent to my home. haha  Seriously, can we take a sec to talk about the cap and gown idea?  Who thought of it?  I'd like a word.  It's such a silly get-up.  And who is this chap behind me?
Really now, School of Witchcraft and Wizardy.  Just awk.
Momma and Dad
All the sibs!!  Sadie, Aubry, Mya, Glenn, Tate, Kim, Finn, Cod, Mals, Kenzie, Camarie and Ad.  It was awfully sweet of them to all come, have their cute kids miss their naps, and spend the day in Cache Valley.  It meant an awful lot, I tell you, an awful lot.
My brother Adam and I happen to have a solid good time relationship.  When we're asked to take pics together, we do crap like this:
He and Cambam were sweet enough to come home from China to see me graduate.  Darlingness.blogspot.com.  I wish I had more pics with all of my siblings.  There are more but I don't always look like Princess Kate in them....more of a Pippa-esque lass. haha
So I did it!  My undergrad has been completed!  Now it's time to move to a third-world country, make a difference, then come back and work and save for grad school.

It's been so lovely having my whole family here.  It's difficult to process that our time is limited.  I've loved catching up with siblings and playing with my nieces and nephews that are darling beyond belief.  I think about how much they're going to grow.  My nieces and nephews will be so much bigger and talking so much more when I get back.  I think about how strange it's going to be to not be able to talk to my siblings like I do.  No more long phone calls that happen a couple of times a week.  No quick calls home to see how my parents and little sis are doing.

I think of things that don't matter too.  Silly ways of counting down time.  My last Sunday in the states for a long time.  The last time I'll need to charge my phone...because by the time it dies, I'll be on a flight to Uganda.  My last morning jog with my sister.  Last late night talk with Ad, Cam and Kim.  I hope I don't sound annoyingly sentimental.  I know that I'll be back in just four months.  It's just strange to have to go back to less communication after the mission.  I'm excited out-of-my mind.  I know it'll change my whole life.  But it's strange trying to feel like I'm wrapping stuff up here for the next few months.  I can't wait for this next phase of my life.  It's where I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to be doing.  I'll be keeping you posted fo sho.  Get ready for lots of pastey, blonde awkwardness in a land where I don't blend in but love the people to bits.  :)  But in the meantime...I'm a graduated lass!  :)
